A Fabric Shopping Trip is easily one of my favourite afternoons out. Although I have so many fabric books and fabric suppliers for my curtain fabrics and roman blind fabrics, I still love a trip to one of my local fabric shops – The Millshop. After the second lockdown, I thought it would be nice to get out and have a look at some fabrics. It is also a good opportunity to look for more fabrics for my clients for their curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.
A Fabric Shopping Trip
I always end up buying something lovely every time I visit. It is such a lovely big shop and there is so much to look at and to choose from. Today I was really spoiled for choice. I really love fabric as it comes in so many different styles, designs and textures.
I love the section where they only have a few metres of certain fabric left. Sometimes there’s enough left on the rolls for a pair of curtains, but there is often plenty there for a roman blind or a few cushions. So obviously, having not being able to visit for a while, I got a little carried away today. There were loads of beautiful fabrics. I love a fabric shopping trip and I will be going again in the new year. A lot more curtain fabric will probably be coming home with me.
I bought some really beautiful fabrics today. They are mostly subtle neutral colours because they go well with some interiors that I’m working on at the moment. I have some plans for some roman blinds as these stunning fabrics will be perfect for my clients.
